Château Margüi is now the official and exclusive supplier of one of France’s most high-profile events: the Festival de Cannes.
Château Margüi and Bastide de Margüi ’1784’ cuvées will be enjoyed in all three colours throughout this 78th edition,
presided over by Madame Juliette Binoche. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the brand’s core values: Passion, Art, and Excellence, which naturally resonate with those of the Festival. In 2025, Château Margüi became an official supplier.
The year 2024 experienced contrasting weather conditions, with frost in April and rainfall in both June and September.
However, these harvests have resulted in a fine vintage with promising quality. The Château Margüi rosés were vinified by grape variety. Cinsault brings freshness and ensures a pale hue, while Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon were vinified in tanks with a light extraction of colour and aromatic precursors. Freshness is the defining characteristic of this vintage.
The Bastide de Margüi ’1784’ cuvée is the result of a mixed vinification process, using both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. Different barrel types, varying in age, toasting, and grain finesse, contribute to an intricate aromatic complexity. Several tastings allowed for subtle and precise blending, resulting in a cuvée that meets our highest expectations – a wine suited for all gastronomic moments.
ABOUT CHÂTEAU MARGÜI
Château Margüi is a 120-hectare estate located in the heart of Provence Verte, in the Haut-Var region. The estate comprises 22 hectares of vineyards, 5 hectares of olive groves, and 65 hectares of forest, cultivated organically since 1999. Three natural water sources nourish this pristine terroir. The wines produced reflect the three colours of the AOP Coteaux
Varois en Provence. Since its acquisition in 2017, the renovation of the cellar and bastide has been carried out with respect for Provençal authenticity, transforming it into a place of excellence dedicated to producing exceptional wines. At the same time, a 9-hectare planting project has been launched. Château Margüi is now part of the Skywalker Vineyards collection, the wineries of George Lucas, established in Marin County, California, and Passignano sul Trasimeno, Umbria.
