For a striking sixth time Hernö Gin has been shortlisted for International Gin Producer of the Year. The yearly International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) is considered beeing the Oscars of the spirits industry. Hernö Gin has won the prestigious award twice before.

The IWSC announced earlier this year that Hernö Gin has been awarded three gold medals, including one Gold Outstanding. Only five gin distilleries worldwide were awarded the highest medal in this year’s competition, no other distillery recieved more gold medals than Hernö Gin. An achievement that can be crowned with yet another major title as International Gin Producer of the Year later this year.
– This is utterly incredible news! It’s a truly significant recognition just to be on the shortlist in this category, and now we’re there again for the sixth time. Winning for a third time would be out-of-this-world amazing, says Jon Hillgren, founder and Master distiller at Hernö Gin.
Joining Hernö Gin on the shortlist are Four Pillars (Australia), Alembic Distillery (Japan), Elg Spirits (Denmark) and Poetica Distillery (Croatia). The winner will be announced at the IWSC 2024 Awards Celebration in London on 13th November.
