The event, hosted by AliasSmith and its CEO, Claes Puebla Smith, in Stockholm, Sweden, and attended solely by industry insiders on personal invitations, marked the first-ever preview of two new tequilas, Tequila Ancestral PLATA and the extra añejo Doble Embarricado Edición Black both of which are set to hit the market in following months.
Tequila Ancestral PLATA, a pioneering creation, employs traditional hand milling techniques using hand hammers for agave milling. Furthermore, it undergoes a unique cooking process in clay ovens, with the oven sealed using clay, imparting distinct earthy Flavors to the final product. This method, unparalleled in the industry, adds a layer of authenticity and uniqueness to the tequila, setting it apart from others.
On the other hand, the Doble Embarricado Edición Black undergoes a distinct aging process, spending three years in American oak barrels before a final year of refinement in French barrels. This meticulous aging process results in a one-of-a-kind flavour profile that captivates the senses.
