Rum Cocktails at Bar Convent Berlin

It will be rum making its grand appearance at this year’s Bar Convent Berlin. However, with a total of 1,200 brands none of the other spirits will fall short either. 430 exhibitors will be presenting new products and variations here, ranging from gin, liqueur and tequila to bitters, whiskey and vermouth. The biggest trade show in the industry brings together bar owners, bar tenders, distributors and manufacturers from some 80 countries from 7 to 9 October. There will be many novelties to discover this year, too. Visitors will be in for numerous new taste experiences, brands and innovations.

House of Rum
At home around the world and a trend now forming a key ingredient for the community – for the first time BCB will create a dedicated stage for rum. Mauritius will be in the focus and act as the official partner country. In cooperation with the Economic Development Board Mauritius, this small country will present selected manufacturers at the “Kühlhaus”, which will become the “House of Rum” and hence, a hotspot for all rum makers and lovers. Partner for this project will be no less than “Rum Ambassador” Ian Burell.“

Education in focus
BCB would not be the same without its top-notch continuous education options. Which means education will also be in focus again this year. Bar Convent is once again cooperating with the renowned sector expert Angus Winchester. International bar authorities like Alex Kratena, Stephanie Simbo, Camper English and Jeffrey Morgenthaler will be part of the programme. Also, Coffee will again play a prominent role at the trade show. Coffee experts like Nicole Battefeld, Timon Kaufmann and Ali Vogel will be presenting the latest trends on the Coffee Stage.

Tickets

This year BCB is being held over three days for the second time. This will allow more interested parties to attend the event. There will only be 1-day tickets available to make it easier to control and spread visitor streams. Those wanting to visit the trade show on two or three days will benefit from discounted ticket prices. The 1-day ticket for trade visitors is EUR 40, an Upgrade Ticket for the second or third day is only EUR 30 per day.
